YSRP · Schools edition
A teacher-led cohort with mentor support, teacher training and a fabrication allocation.
What we help you do
- 01
Train one or two teachers in the studio, the toolchain and the programme sequence.
- 02
Run a school cohort on the standard twelve-week structure, with the group’s mentors reviewing designs and signing off for fabrication.
- 03
Fabricate the cohort’s designs on the booked routes and hold a school showcase when the silicon returns.
What the engagement produces
- Ten or more student places on the YSRP Studio, with development boards and a fabrication allocation—no design-software licences for the school to buy.
- Teacher training and ongoing mentor support during the cohort.
- School showcase, project pages and, with consent, the school’s entries to regional ISEF-affiliated fairs and open-hardware robotics competitions.
How it works
Agree places, dates and the fabrication run for the school year.
Teacher training before the cohort; weekly mentor reviews during it.
Fabrication, return of silicon, school showcase and the next cohort.
Your questions, answered.
Does the teacher need a semiconductor background?
No. The studio and the training are designed for teachers of computing, physics or design and technology, with the group’s engineers reviewing every design.
How many students can a school enrol?
From ten places; larger cohorts are scheduled across the two fabrication runs each year.
Make it relevant to you.
Tell us the student’s age, interests and location. We will confirm the next cohort.
